Dr. Heïdi Sevestre is an internationally renowned glaciologist, a leading voice in climate advocacy, and a member of The Explorers Club (she is part of the Explorers Club 50 (EC50), Class of 2026, “fifty people changing the world”).

 Widely recognized for her extensive outreach efforts, Heïdi is often described as a scientist who engages in "all-terrain outreach," sharing her knowledge across media platforms, the field, in books, and in documentaries. In 2022, she became the first recipient of the Shackleton Medal for her work in protecting polar regions and received the French “Rayonnement” Prize, environmental category, in 2023. In 2024, Heïdi was named a "European Young Leader" by Friends of Europe, representing France. 

Morven Muilwijk is a polar oceanographer and climate scientist at the Norwegian Polar Institute. His research focuses on sea ice, ocean circulation, and the interactions between the ocean and sea ice in the rapidly changing Arctic. By combining observations from ship-based expeditions and drifting ice camps with computer-based climate models, he works to better understand how the polar climate system is evolving. He is also passionate about communicating Arctic science and its relevance to global climate, ecosystems, and society.

Karstein Ringjord is the Director of Maritime Situational Awareness (MSA) at Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), based in Tromsø, Norway. Since joining KSAT in 2018, Karstein has held key roles in business development, strategy, and technology management. Currently, he leads the company’s efforts to address the increasing demand for operational maritime domain awareness services around the globe and is driven by the vision to empower users with superior situational awareness through timely, relevant, reliable, secure, and available space-derived information.
