Each episode explores specific transitions: from how ice loss fundamentally alters maritime traffic patterns to the northward migration of fish stocks and the resulting shift for local fisheries, global businesses, and regional governance.

Sebastian MKH KOPF, LLM

Sebastian Maria Karl Heinrich KOPF is host of the Arctic Information Station.

Independent from this work, Sebastian is also Advisor at the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), with thematic focus on International Ocean Law, Governance, and Knowledge Brokering. He holds an LL.M. in Law of the Sea from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. His work focuses on making oceans and freshwater systems healthier - in short: more fish, less plastic. Beyond his work during the day, he is former President of APECS, the worlds largest global polar early career scientists’ organisation (6000+ members).
